Julie Ann's Frozen Custard is a family-owned frozen custard shop and a McHenry County institution. Back in 1985, John and Mary Zielnicki started creating their hand-crafted custard recipe that is still used today!
What makes Julie Ann's so special is the quality of their ingredients and their custard that is made fresh several tiimes a day! The flavors have taken on a creative twist since grandson Pete and daughter Linda took over the business. you can now find flavors on their regular menu like:
- Nutty Elephant - Peanut butter cups, peanuts, chocolate ganache & swirls of peanutbutter
- Espresso Brownie Love - A brownie & freshly pulled espresso from Dogwood Coffee blended together
- Peanutbutter Puppy Chow - Their own homemade puppy chow (Rice Chex, peanutbutter, dark chocolate and powdered sugar) with peanut butter
- Key Lime Pie - From scratch key lime pie sauce made with Nellie & Joe's Lime Juice and their buttery graham cracker crumble.
Make sure to check out their flavor of the day for something out of the ordinary. Daily flavors range anywhere from cherry goat cheese, to flourless chocolate cake, to banana cream pie or dark chocolate avocado.
